Owning and operating a dive shop was my retirement plan…. i started a little early! After spending time in the Dominican Republic for work and experiencing the beauty above land I wanted to indulge in my passion for diving. This led to discovering Dive Cabarete and the beauty below. I was so impressed with the diving and the shop that when the opportunity arose I purchased the business with no hesitation. I want to run a dive company that I would want to dive with. My goal is simple… to operate with a standard of excellence that keeps our customers safe and happy AND coming back year after year! Staffing the business with the best is just the beginning.

We are open Monday to Saturday from 8am - 5pm. Sundays are available by prior appointment only. Double tank dive trips are available twice daily for certified divers meeting at 8am or 1pm, returning by 12pm or 5pm. Certified divers can buy dive packages - the more dives you buy the cheaper it is per dive!
Courses can be arranged with start dates to suit your vacation dates - just let us know your preference and we'll do our best to schedule it. We keep the number of students per course low so that you have a maximum of 1 on 1 time with your dive instructor.
Snorkelling trips are at 8am and 1pm daily
All our staff are amateur photographers and where possible are happy to provide photos of your underwater experience in exchange for a donation into the TIP box. If you would like to take your own photos you can rent a GoPro and we will transfer all your images to your memory stick or via email.
All rental equipment for snorkelling is included in your booking. You can choose if your dive package includes rental gear or if you will bring your own equipment. Drinking water & bananas as surface interval snacks are provided on the boat. Fresh water showers available back at the dive shop to rinse off after your boat trip. Lockers are available to leave any personal items that you don't want to risk getting wet on the boat; the front of the boat is usually a dry space if you would prefer to take personal items with you.
Upon arrival to the Dive School you can pay your balance in cash (USD or Dominican Pesos) or via Paypal (there is a 5% fee for Paypal transactions).
All our boat trips are subject to the Captain's decision whether it's safe or not to take the boat out, based on weather and sea conditions in the bay. We do our best to warn guests in advance of incoming bad weather so that we can reschedule your dives for another day during your holiday.
