Rasdhoo Atoll is a small collection of islands, just north of Ari Atoll in the northern Maldives. It is an exceedingly popular scuba diving destination and has a number of the typical Maldivian resorts as well as a number of independent dive centers on the populated islands. Rasdhoo Atoll's popularity is based around its famously elusive inhabitants - hammerhead sharks. These beauties can be found schooling on the outer edge of the reef early in the mornings and the sight is spectacular. Other pelagic creatures like mantas, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse and a variety of sharks can be seen against the dramatic landscape of pinnacles, walls and overhangs.
