About Marsa Shagra Village
Marsa Shagra occupies one of the most stunning seaside locations and is definitely the most well-known of our Marsa Alam destinations. It is our gateway to the south boasting one of the most beautiful house reefs in the Red Sea region. Whether you are a diver or just enjoy snorkeling, our house reef features an abundance of marine life including a variety of coral & fishes, reef sharks, turtles, and sometimes even dolphins!

Marsa Shagra’s appeal is its mix of modern luxury and natural simplicity – the best of both worlds. It is centrally located 253km south of Hurghada Airport, just 40km south of the Marsa Alam airport and 20km north of Marsa Alam city. This is the ideal starting point for exploration into the deep-south or vacationers looking for a mix of enjoyment and tranquility.
Transfers to the villages are from Hurghada, Luxor or Marsa Alam airports (all include charter and local flights), where the Red Sea Diving Safari driver will meet the guests outside the terminal building.
Hurghada to Shagra - 3 hours
Marsa Alam to Shagra - 30 minutes
Shagra offers 4 different accommodation categories; there is something for everyone's taste and budget: Tent, Royal Tent, Hut and Deluxe Chalet, as well as accessible Deluxe Chalet. The whole village is wheelchair friendly and we are used to help people with special needs enjoy our diving activities.
At night, you can enjoy a delicious pizza freshly from our pizza oven, and you can discover bedouin teas and coffee or shisha in our Bawadi Bedouin Lounge. We offer yoga activities and massages, as well as a various range of desert activities: horse riding or camel riding, quad trip, bedouin dinner, astro tour... etc. From our village we can organise a visit or Marsa Alam city, Port Ghalib or a day-trip to Luxor.
We have a decompression chamber affiliated to our company right in front of the village of Marsa Shagra.
